About FORAY

FROM INDUSTRIAL UV TO HANDHELD PRECISION.

I created FORAY after spending 16 years working with highly technical UV equipment that needed to be constantly measured and monitored.

In industrial UV design, performance is measured. Output is tested with dedicated instruments. Thermal behavior, working distance, wavelength, and sustained performance are treated as engineering questions—not marketing claims.

I saw very little of that discipline in the UV flashlight market.

Too many products were sold around visible purple light, startup numbers, and vague specifications. Buyers were being asked to trust claims that would never be accepted in an industrial setting without objective verification.

FORAY was created to bring that level of clarity to handheld UV lighting.

Our products are designed and tested in the Pacific Northwest using the same mindset I have relied on throughout my work with technical UV equipment: measure the output, understand how it behaves over time, and show the results clearly.

No mystery specifications. No purple-light theater. No asking customers to take our word for it.
